The magnificent 17th century estate Oud-Poelgeest is conveniently situated 10 minutes from the centre of Leiden, between Amsterdam and The Hague and about 15 minutes from Schiphol Airport. The 25 acre park with recently restored castle and former coach house together with the newly built hotel with 45 rooms, sauna & fitness offer a unique location for meeting purposes up to 100 persons in 15 conference rooms. The bar in the castle basement with terrace near by the pond is available to enjoy a drink. Breakfast buffet is in the restaurant in the former coach house. The surroundings of Oegstgeest offer the tourist an interesting palette of possibilities: historic city of Leiden, boat trips Dutch lake district, bulb fields (Keukenhof), cycle tours and North Sea beach (20 minutes). |
