On the road Heeg is a charming village. Just a short walk from the hostel, the centre boasts eateries, shops, bakeries specialised in Frisian delicacies and water/land sports facilities. There’s plenty to do outside Heeg, too. Visit the famous Wieuwerd mummies, or go ‘wadlopen’ across the Wadden sea. Or float above Friesland in a hot air balloon. Terrestrial fun includes sightseeing in Leeuwarden (Fries Museum), Drachten and Sneek (Fries Scheepvaartmuseum). |

Public transport From Sneek station take bus 46 in the direction of Gaastmeer. Get off at the ‘De Skatting’ stop. Before the bridge take a left. Follow this road until you see the bridge at the end. Take a right and cross the bridge (dead end) and walk until the gate in front of the Foekema yacht basin. Take a left, the hostel is at the end of this street. Private transport From the Sneek ring road continue in the direction of Woudsend. Follow the road until the Hommerts exit, towards Heeg. Drive through Osingahuizen, over the bridge, towards Heeg. At the roundabout continue on straight and then take the first exit left. Continue over the bridge, and follow the fork to the left. This is the Tollewei. Continue over the bridge (onto the dead end street) until you reach the gate in front of the Foekema yacht basin. Take a left, the hostel is at the end of this street. |

No schedules, just all the time to do what you like: welcome to Heeg. A lovely village surrounded by Frisian lakes. All around you there’s space and, if you prefer, tranquillity. If it’s action you’re after, go sailing, walking, cycling, visit nearby cities and villages: everything is possible around Stayokay Heeg! Stayokay Heeg is ideally located: a former island on the edge of the Heegermeer, the largest lake in Friesland. There is so much room. Head for the pitch or the survival course. The hostel even has a harbour and boathouse with authentic flat-bottomed Tjotters. In nice weather, enjoy the terrace. The two restaurants feature delicious fare, from breakfast buffets to dinners. In the mood for company? Visit the bar or main hall and strike up a conversation or play a game of pool. |

Cancellation Policy: If cancelled up to 1 day before the date of arrival, no fee will be charged. If cancelled later or in case of no-show, the total price of the reservation will be charged.
