Situated alongside the Oude Delft, Delft’s oldest, best known and most beautiful canal, the hotel is ideally placed in the very centre of this picturesque city. The building of Hotel Grand Canal was once the city prison of Delft and the iron bars in the basement are a silent reminder to its history. In earlier times, the V.O.C. (Dutch trading company) used the building to store goods. Today this beautiful canal house has been fully restored to meet the demands of the modern traveller. The hotel’s central location, near to museums and canals makes it the ideal base from which to explore the city of Delft. The hotel is a stone’s throw from the train station and all means of public transport are within easy reach.
