Originally built in 1834, and formerly called the Royal Victoria, the hotel still displays many of the original features whilst also offering guests the modern comforts they would expect from one of the areas leading hotels. The hotel offers 106 en suite bedrooms spread over 3 floors, all including satellite TV and a hospitality tray. Some larger rooms are specifically designed for families and have comfortable seating areas and sofa beds. Availability of suitable rooms is limited and may require the use of portable beds. |

There are so many things to see and do, including: Snowdon Mountain Railway (within 100 metres) - take the leisurely trip up Snowdon on the only public rack and pinion railway in the UK. (Please note the railway is running no further than Clogwyn Stattion until Spring 2008, due to improvements being made to the facilities at the top of the mountain). National Slate Museum (1 km) - This is a living, working museum telling the story of the slate industry in North Wales, with slide shows and slate splitting demonstrations. Electric Mountain (1 km) - the starting point for the tour of the Dinorwig Power Station, found within Europes largest man made cavern. Llanberis Lake Railway (500 metres) - a lakeside trip on a historic narrow-gauge steam train giving magnificent views over Padarn Lake of the mighty Snowdon. |

By car from the North: Take the a55 towards Bangor, turning onto the b4366 from Junction 11. 4 miles further, turn onto the b4547 until the T-junction with the a4086 and turn left to Llanberis. By car from Shrewsbury: Best to take the A5 to Capel Curig turning left onto the A4086 towards Llanberis. Hotel is on the right before the village.
