This peaceful, historic hotel is set in its own lush garden and woodland. It lies between Bilbao and Santander, opposite the Romanesque chapel of San Román. Originally dating from the 17th century, the buildings of the San Román de Escalante have belonged to several aristocratic families through the years. Its walls are now adorned with numerous works of art. Each of its rooms is unique, but all share a modern style which contrasts with the antique artwork displayed there. The on-site restaurant serves traditional Cantabrian cuisine made with innovative touches. This comes accompanied by some of Spain’s finest wines. |

Cancellation Policy: If cancelled up to 2 days before date of arrival, no fee will be charged. If cancelled later or in case of no-show, the first night will be charged.
