Our small hotel has great ambitions. We have high ambitions on quality and strive to deliver the best service, great experiences and friendly relations to all our guests. Our hotel is situated in 2 of Helsingborgs oldest buildings. However it has all the modern comforts of today. We have tastefully and carefully renovated the whole building to create rooms from different historical periods, to give you an experience of time travelling. |

Helsingborg City is an oasis for old and young alike. It offers a choice of almost 500 shops and more than 160 restaurants, bars, nightclubs and cafes. Hotel Maria is in the heart of Helsingborg. The rectangular city centre runs parallel with the sea. Kullagatan, the first pedestrian street in Scandinavia, lies 50 feet from the hotel. The city is a treasure trove of shops of all kinds. Once the sun has set, the pulse in the city starts beating. Helsingborg has genuine English pubs and exclusive bars where you can mingle under cut-glass chandeliers, or enjoy the casino and music. There are some trendy and stylish discos in town, some spectacular temples of entertainment and exclusive nightclubs too, just around the corner from Hotel Maria. A visit to Helsingborg would not be complete without a trip to Sofiero, particularly in May and June when the rhododendron is in full bloom. Fredriksdal Museum and Gardens is one of Sweden´s most famous open-air museums, with an outstanding botanical garden. The Kärnan Tower, Helsingborgs most famous landmark, has guarded the city for over 600 years. The Dunker Culture Centre displays various temporary exhibitions along with objects from the towns museum collections. |

The hotel is located in the city centre of Helsingborg with walking distance to all major attractions. Five minutes walk to train and buses as well as to ferries to Denmark and Norway. Travel instructions to Hotel Maria from the central station, Kuntpunkten, for arrivals with boat, train or bus: 1. Exit the station on the main entrance. You will see Elite Hotel Marina Plaza on your left hand side and a busy road called Järnvägsgatan on your right hand side. Turn right towards the crossing on Järnvägsgatan and cross the street towards the store 7-eleven. 2. Ones crossed the street, turn left and follow Järnvägsgatan for about 200m until you reached another street called S. Kyrkogatan. Turn right on S. Kyrkogatan and continue for about 300m until you see a large church on your left hand side. You are now on Mariagatan. 3. The hotel entrance is located opposite the church’s main entrance between two restaurants, Olsons Skafferi och Hjalmars Kök. |

At Hotel Maria you can chose from 14 especially designed rooms, each room uniquely decorated in different Historical Periods, from the Renaissance to the Flower Power eras. The hotel is situated in two old houses built around 1800. We have tried hard to conserve and repair old picturesque parts of the buildings during the renovation process 2006. Cancellation Policy: If cancelled up to 1 day before the date of arrival, no fee will be charged. If cancelled later or in case of no-show, the first night will be charged. Children and Extra Bed Policy: All children are welcome. All children under 3 years stay free of charge when using existing bedding. All children under 2 years are charged SEK 150.00 per night and person for cots. All older children or adults are charged SEK 250.00 per night and person for extra beds. Maximum capacity of extra beds/babycots in a room is 1. Deposit Policy: No deposit will be charged. VAT and city/tourist taxes: VAT is included. Service charge is included. City/tourist tax is included. Internet: Wired internet is available in the hotel rooms and is free of charge. Meal Plan: Buffet breakfast is included in the room rate.
