In an effort to produce the right ambiance we utilised classic Swedish interior design that has been adapted for simpler, more contemporary tastes. Many of the specially designed pieces of furniture are handmade in Sweden. The crystal chandeliers which grace the hotel are also made in Sweden. Design is continually evolving and produces new sensations and fashions; these are in a state of flux and the changes are significant. Our focus is upon comfort and the feeling of being “at home”. We understand your desire to enjoy the experiences this stunning capital city has to offer as well as your need for peace and quiet. Luxury is synonymous with simplicity and tranquility and so we have attempted to produce an oasis amid the hustle and bustle of a vibrant city life. The Classic Rooms are decorated in 18th century Gustavian style and complemented by additional contemporary features. On floors 2-5 they have wonderful high ceilings and stucco features. Some overlook the dynamic Birger Jarlsgatan and others a peaceful inner courtyard. Rooms vary in size from 17 to 40 m² and some offer a balcony, bay window or open fire. The loft rooms vary in size from 16 to 30 m² and are stylishly decorated with a “less is more” charm. The rooms have highly polished concrete floors, pitched roofs, and skylights that allow light to stream in. Savour the view from these rooms that overlook the rooftops of Stockholm. |
