The lovely provincetown of Lier has a lot to offer to tourists. If you are looking for culture, there is the ancient city hall, the St. Gummaruschurch, museums, the Zimmertoren en the unique Begijnhof, which recently was added to the UNESCO World Heritage list. When you enter the village of Lier, drive to the marketplace. Directly after the marketplace you will find a small bridge. Just before this bridge you have to turn left. Hof van Aragon is the place where the parents of Charlemagne; Johanna van Castilië, Queen of Aragon and Phillip de Schone got married in 1496. The hotel is a perfect combination of old and new.
