Beneath the shadow of the Bergen Mountain range as the west coast winds sweep off the sea, this old Hanseatic trading town is the dramatic home to an upmarket boutique hotel. Opened in 2006, this vintage stone-building from the 1920s is situated on the quayside and was once the original Customs House. During the substantial renovations aimed at modernising the facilities, all efforts were made to preserve the historic building’s neo-classicist features and Baroque influences from 1919. The charming guest rooms are soundproofed and the soft shades of the chocolate brown textures, floor to ceiling drapes, original granite staircase are all in tune with the historic nature of the building. The large stylish lounge includes an English and Norwegian library, while the rooftop outlook offers spectacular views over the harbor. Cancellation Policy: If cancelled up to 16:00 on the date of arrival, no fee will be charged. If cancelled later or in case of no-show, the total price of the reservation will be charged. Children and Extra Bed Policy: All children are welcome. All children under 12 years are charged NOK 300.00 per night and person for extra beds. All children under 4 years are charged NOK 150.00 per night and person for cots. Maximum capacity of extra beds/babycots in a room is 2. Deposit Policy: No deposit will be charged. VAT and city/tourist taxes: VAT is included. Service charge is included. City/tourist tax is not applicable. Internet: Wireless internet is available in the entire hotel and costs NOK 100.00 per 24 hours. Meal Plan: Breakfast is included in the room rate. Parking: Public parking is possible on site (reservation is needed) and costs NOK 100.00 per day. Public parking is possible at a location nearby and costs NOK 170.00 per day.
