The nearest seaport is Klaipeda (25 km from Palanga). Ferry lines connect this port with Karlshamn and Åhus in Sweden, Kyl, Mukran (Sassnitz) and Travemiunde in Germany, and Aarhus and Aabernaa in Denmark. Buses from Klaipeda to Palanga leave every 15 minutes. The nearest railway stations are in Kretinga (12 km) and Klaipeda. Buses from Kretinga and Klaipeda to Palanga leave every 15 minutes. There are direct buses from Riga, Liepaja, Kaliningrad and Moscow. |
