There is always much to see and do around Lake Windermere, Englands longest lake. You can enjoy pleasure boats on the lake, the World of Beatrix Potter exhibition, the Windermere Steamboat Museum, the Brockhole Visitor Centre, the Lakeside and Haverthwaite Railway, and the Aquarium of the Lakes. Bowness and Windermere villages are also worth exploring, with all sorts of interesting shops, and many places to wine and dine yourself. Further afield, but still within the Lake District National Park, you will find places such as Grasmere (home to William Wordsworth), Ambleside, Coniston, Hawkshead and Keswick, each of which has its own unique charm. |

This elegant Victorian house, built in Lakeland stone around 1875, offers views to the rear over Wynlass Beck, along with comfortable en suite rooms, a residents lounge and private parking. Firgarth Guest House is conveniently situated just 12 minutes walk from the centre of Windermere, which offers a range of shops, pubs and restaurants. The guest house has a great location, between the busy villages of Windermere and Bowness. It is a clean, comfortable and reasonably priced bed and breakfast, situated in the number one location within the English Lake District National Park: Windermere. The guest lounge is comfortable, with plenty of books and information on local walks, as well as a selection of games to keep you amused in the evenings. The traditional breakfast menu is all freshly prepared. There is a choice of orange juice, grapefruit, fresh fruit salad, cereals, yoghurt and a variety of cooked-to-order breakfasts. The guest house is regretfully unable to accept any arrivals after 20:00. |

Cancellation Policy: If cancelled up to 5 days before date of arrival, the first night will be charged. If cancelled later or in case of no-show, the total price of the reservation will be charged.
