Guy Fawkes Hotel is located in a row of townhouses in the shadow of the famous York Minster. A charming town house hotel, all rooms are individually decorated, many with four-poster beds and some with excellent views of York Minster. The cottage at the rear of the hotel, through the courtyard, also houses some rooms and is reputedly the birthplace of the infamous Guy Fawkes himself. Four High Petergate is built onto the city walls and ancient gateway, otherwise known as the Bootham Bar. York Minster is less than a minute’s walk away and its spires can be admired from the garden. The individually designed rooms are dressed with hand-crafted beds and crisp white linen, offering real comfort in chic surroundings. TVs and DVD players come as standard and guests can select movies from the extensive library. The Relaxation Suite at Marmadukes is open to guests of The Minster Collection and includes a sauna, hot tub, plunge shower and exercise equipment. The executive guest shuttle will take and collect you on request to dine at Monty’s Grill or use the Relaxation Suite at Marmadukes. |
