The Rosebery Hotel is located in a smart Victorian/Edwardian residential suburb of Jesmond, an area called Jesmond Dene, which is a large park. The hotel is next to an extensive range of amenities. Jesmond Dene provides an important wildlife corridor right into the centre of Newcastle. There is a spectacular mix of native and exotic trees, and the Dene is home to a lot of wildlife, notably the kingfisher, the red squirrel and many woodland birds. The Dene stretches for over 3 km and has many tranquil areas as well as ‘honey pots’ of activity. Jesmond Dene provides strong historical links with 19th century industrial development and landscape design, with Lord Armstrong’s influence being very apparent. There is also a large network of paths and bridges throughout. The hotel is 5 minutes from the city centre by car, a 10-minute walk and 4 stops on the bus. The Civic Centre, Newcastle University and the University of Northumbria can be reached in a short journey. |

By Car From the South of Newcastle: - From the A1 and Tyne Tunnel, head north following the Morpeth signs. - After about one mile, take a left turn onto the A1058. - Pass the Corner House pub / restaurant, then take a right turn at the next set of traffic lights. - Bear right, then take the first right onto Churchill Gardens. By Bus From Newcastle city centre: The hotel is located on a main arterial route from the city centre: the A1058 going east to Tynemouth and the coast. Buses are extremely regular (every 2-3 minutes) and run until midnight. From the railway station Take the number 38 bus (to the Freeman Hospital) from the bus stop across the road from the train station. The journey will take 10 to 12 minutes. Ask for the Cradlewell stop. Get off the bus and you will come into a small parade of shops. Stay to the right. Look up and you will see a large church, Holy Trinity. The hotel is opposite. The number 38 bus runs through the centre of the city and can be picked up at the Monument, the Theatre Royal and at the Grainger Market. From the town centre, Haymarket and Haymarket Metro station: You can catch buses numbered 305, 306, 307, 308 and 309. The journey will take approximately, 6 to 7 minutes. Ask for the Cradlewell stop. By Metro From the airport: The hotel is 20 minutes on the Metro from the airport to Jesmond Metro station (not West Jesmond). Take the green line to South Shields. On arrival at Jesmond Metro come out of the station and turn left onto Jesmond Road. Cross over Osborne Road at the junction of Jesmond Road. Continue ahead in a straight line. You will pass the Imperial Hotel on your left, then a large graveyard, continue on, where you will come to a set of traffic lights and a pub on your left called the Punch Bowl. Continue on, past another pub called the Cradlewell and a gym and a restaurant called The Barn. You will come into a small parade of shops and Rehills convenience store. Look up and you will see a large church on your right, Holy Trinity. Cross over the road towards the church and you will come into Churchill gardens. The hotel is opposite the church. |

Situated in the pleasant suburb of Jesmond, next to Jesmond Dene Park, enjoying a country atmosphere whilst being only 5 minutes from the city centre ( 0.6 mile). Nearly all of our rooms are en-suite with either a bath or shower, tea and coffee making facilities, colour televisions and free wireless internet connection. The Edwardian elegance of the hotel, with its fine central staircase and tasteful furnishings complemented by many modern comforts, make the Rosebery Hotel a truly enjoyable place to stay. Set on a quiet road, the hotel is within easy reach of main roads (A1058) running east from the city centre. The hotel is located next door to public transport and local amenities and has ample free unrestricted parking. |

Payment Information: Please note payment is upon arrival. There is an additional 2.5% charge for credit and debit cards and a GBP 0.50 fee for the facility. Group Bookings For groups, the hotel may request 2 or more credit card details from the members of the group. The following terms and conditions are governed by English law, and are subject to the jurisdiction of the English courts. By booking with the hotel, you agree to be bound by these terms. It must be understood that those booking by telephone you accept the booking terms and conditions. All participants must be at least 18. The person making the booking will be considered the group leader: The group leader has the authority to deal with us on behalf of every member of the group. The group leader is responsible for collecting all monies from the group, and must accept final responsibility for the actions of all other group members and make them aware of all terms and conditions. A bond may be taken from each group member upon arrival at the hotel, which will be returned at the hotels discretion once it is satisfied that no damage or inconvenience has been caused by the group. Every person in the party will be held jointly and severally liable for any damage to property and for any legal cost incurred in defending or pursuing such a claim. The hotel will not be liable for any loss or damage to the property of clients. In the case of any loss of or damage to property, this must be reported first to the duty manager, and then to the police, immediately. Any on-site conditions, instructions or house rules must be adhered to: The Rosebery Hotel has the right to terminate without notice your stay due to any behaviour deemed inappropriate by them. In this case, you will not be entitled to any refund. The hotel accepts no liability for any misadventure that occurs while any of your group is under the influence of drink or drugs. We will not be liable to you or any other person for losses which are reasonably foreseeable and any other losses other than those caused by our negligence. This is the sole agreement between you and the Rosebery Hotel and cannot be varied apart from agreement of both parties. The hotel kindly asks all guests who have 4 or more in their party, to confirm final numbers 48 hours or more prior to arrival. If a bond/deposit is taken upon arrival, it is not returned on day of departure but will be re-credited 48 hours later, after satisfactory inspection of the rooms. The hotel reserves the right to refuse any guest admission on the grounds of unreasonable, abusive or threatening behaviour. If one member of a booking or group is deemed to be behaving in an unreasonable manner, then the hotel reserves the right to ask the whole party/guests to leave. Payment is non refundable. |

Cancellation Policy: If cancelled up to 2 days before date of arrival, no fee will be charged. If cancelled later or in case of no-show, the total price of the reservation will be charged. Children and Extra Bed Policy: All children are welcome. All children under 3 years stay free of charge when using existing bedding. All older children or adults are charged GBP 40.00 per night and person for extra beds. Maximum capacity of extra beds in a room is 6. There is no capacity for cots in the room. Deposit Policy: No deposit will be charged. VAT and city/tourist taxes: VAT is included. Service charge is included. City/tourist tax is not applicable. Internet: Wireless internet is available in the entire hotel and is free of charge. Meal Plan: Breakfast is included in the room rate. Parking: Free Public parking is possible at a location nearby.
