The hotel is a 5-minute drive from downtown Lisbon, a 10-minute drive from the airport and there are public transport facilities nearby. Marquês de Pombal: The city expansion up north moved downtown from Rossio to Marquês de Pombal Square, which became one of the most historic and distinguished squares in the city. Parque Eduardo VI: The gardens of the park extend from of the top of a hill to the Marquês de Pombal roundabout, without ever loosing sight of the Tagus River and the Avenida da Liberdade. Avenida da Liberdade: The opening of the Avenida da Liberdade in the 2nd half of the 19th century allowed the city to expand north. Centre of Modern Art Azeredo Perdigão: Located in a modern building at one end of the Gulbenkian gardens, the museum is devoted to 20th century art, including painting, sculpture, drawing, engraving and photography, with collections of the some of the last century most expressive artists. Museum Calouste Gulbenkian: One of the best collections of art in Europe, it integrates important nucleus of Egyptian art, graeco-Roman art and Islamic art, among others. Lisbon has an excellent public transport system. By Shuttle Bus (from the airport): Bus number 91 leaves from the airport. You will need your airline boarding ticket. The bus will stop in the Marquês de Pombal. By Bus (from the airport): There are at least 3 regular buses which depart from the airport and will get you near the hotel. The bus numbers are 44, 45 and 83. By Car (from the airport): - Follow the Comunidades Portuguesas Avenue for 250 metres. - Turn left and go down Comunidades Europeia Avenue for 6.5 km. - Turn right and go down Combatentes Avenue for 700 metres. - Follow the Calouste Gulbenkian for 150 metres, then turn left side and go down Espanha Square for 200 metres. - Pass the information of Estufa Friaand and follow onto António Augusto Aguiar Avenue for about 1.2 km Alternatively, you can take a taxi from the airport to the hotel. |
