The Hotel is situated close to the famous Marian Shrine of Our Lady of Fatima. Some religious places you can visit in the area include: a) The Sanctuary, with various points of interest such as the Chapel of Apparitions and the Basilica where the tombs of the 3 little shepherd children are located; b) The Wax Museum , which relives the most important events of the history of Fatima; c) The small village of Aljustrel, about 3 km from the centre of Fatima, which takes you back to the location where the 3 little shepherd children were born. In the surroundings you can also enjoy some natural heritage, like some of the largest caves formed over thousands of years. The adventurous can go hiking through the Serra de Aire Mountain Range and while you are in the area you can also make the most of the opportunity and visit the small town of Bairro where Dinosaur tracks, left by migrating herds millions of years ago, are located and can be seen imprinted in the solid bed rock. |

Take the A1 to Fátima. Once you reach the toll booths, enter the city and follow directions for rotunda norte (roundabout north). Then continue in the direction of Santuário / Museu de Cêra. You will see Hotel Lux Mundi on your right after about 500 m. | |

Just 100 metres from the Fatima Sanctuary and the Santissima Trindade Church, this modern hotel with easy access and private parking was refurbished in 2005 to offer maximum comfort. In addition to the Basilica and Chapel of Apparitions, you can also easily reach the house where the 3 Little Shepherds lived. If you prefer to go on a day trip, there are some interesting caves and good hiking trails to explore in the surrounding area. At the end of the day return to the hotel for a meal in the restaurant and then a relaxing drink in the bar.
