Monuments, charming streets, sea and mountains get together in a perfect combination. Sintras mountain ridge starts right in the heart of the Vila and ends in the ocean, on the most western point of mainland Europe - Cabo da Roca. Declared a World Heritage site by UNESCO, Sintra was once home to the aristocracy who chose it to build their palaces and mansion-houses. Before you leave Sintra, visit the Royal Palace (Paço Real), the National Palace of Pena (Palácio Nacional da Pena), the Moors Castle (Castelo dos Mouros), the Monserrate Palace and its gardens (Palácio de Monserrate) and some of the museums. The Toy Museum (Museu do Brinquedo) displays a fascinating collection of toys. |

By Car (from the north or Lisbon International Airport): - On the 2nd circular road, head towards Sintra (IC 19) - At the end of the IC 19, go towards Sintra Centro Histórico - Enter Sintra through the Ramalhão Archway. - At the Ramalhão roundabout, turn right - 100 m later, turn left, towards S. Pedro Sintra/ Centro Histórico - Take the first right. - Go 1.5 km until the actual entrance to Sintra, by the Toy Museum (Museu do Brinquedo), where you turn left. - Lawrences Hotel is 500 metres ahead before Quinta da Regaleira. By Car (from Estoril): - Follow directions to Sintra, passing by the Estoril Autodrome, and carrying on straight ahead until the Ramalhão roundabout. - Follow the above directions. |

Cancellation Policy: If cancelled up to 2 days before date of arrival, no fee will be charged. If cancelled later or in case of no-show, the first night will be charged.
