| The Termas da Azenha are in the middle of nature, surrounded by culture. The beaches are on a maximum distance of half an hour driving. There are several types of beaches: with a lot of amusement, or very quiet, even in Summer. The Roman excavation Conimbriga is on the way to Coimbra, where you can visit the oldest university of Europe, with its famous library. Figueira da Foz is a charming fishermans harbour, with an old centre and modern shopping-malls. Aveiro, Montemor-o-Velho, Tomar, Fátima (place of pilgrimmage) are worthwhile to visit. Even Lisbon and Porto are attainable by train in one day. The Termas da Azenha are situated in a nice walking area. Eucalyptushills, pinetree-forests, green or blond ricefields and charming villages. There are many walking tours and daytrips available at the reception. |
