A full breakfast menu is offered, which changes with the season and always includes vegetarian dishes. Shops, restaurants and bars are within easy walking distance, making us an ideal base to stay at for exploring Carlow and the South-East of the country. It is important to us that you enjoy your stay and if you have any particular needs, let us know. Not all our rooms are suitable for young children, so it is best to let us know well in advance. As a small property, Avlon House is unable to cater for hen or stag parties, please do not book these as refusal on the day can cause inconvenience for you and your guests. |

Breakfast is served from 07:00 to 10:00. The breakfast buffet offers a selection of cold juices, yoghurts, cereals, cheeses, marmalade and jams, and fresh fruits. Cooked breakfasts include full Irish breakfast, egg breakfasts, Fried Fish of the Day and a continental breakfast. Tea and coffee with toast and bread is also served. Carlow stands where the Barrow and Burren rivers meet. Tradition states that the junction of the 2 rivers once formed 4 lakes. The name Carlow means Four Lakes. Cancellation Policy: If cancelled up to 2 days before date of arrival, no fee will be charged. If cancelled later or in case of no-show, the first night will be charged.
