Half way around the famous Ring of Kerry, Pax House is centrally located to the myriad of activities that Waterville has to offer. Local activities include: 2 golf courses (renowned Waterville links and the newly-opened Skellig Bay); horse riding; cycling; bike hire nearby; walking routes; caneoing; sailing; diving; and fishing (lake, river and sea) - Lough Currane is famous for salmon and trout fishing. Local historical sites include Derrynane House and National Park, home to Daniel OConnell the Liberator; Staigue Fort; Cill Rialig; and the world iconic Skellig Islands. For the ornithologist, this is a haven as there is a variety of birds. Many of the best gourmet restaurants, and traditional pubs with live music are found here.
