• The resort The name Argentat derives from the Celtic word argentoratum, meaning “where the river flows through”: a perfect description of this town in the heart of the Dordogne Valley (a listed national heritage site), with paved embankments spreading along both sides of the Dordogne. Visit the old town centre with its little streets and elegant houses with turrets and pepperboxes. • The surrounding area Natural heritage: -“Les Cascades de Murel” in Albussac (13 km): a series of 3 waterfalls formed by La Franche Valeine, flowing into a labyrinth of rocks. -The Dordogne Valley and Gorges lying between Bort-Les-Orgues and Beaulieu. -The Feyt Lake in Servières-Le-Château (7 km). -The Chastang Dam. -The 143 m-high Gimel waterfalls (34 km). -“Gouffre de la Fage” in Noailles (48 km): a multitude of stalactites, a richly ornate calcite bridge, beautiful coloured shapes like draperies, fantastical figures and pillars, and a palaeontology museum. Castles: -Tours de Merle in St-Geniez-O-Merle (17 km): perched on their rocky peak, these towers rising above the Maronne are the ruins of a feudal 11th/15th century fortress. An exceptionally well-preserved heritage. -Servières-le-Château (7 km), with houses nestling around the former castle of the Viscounts of Turenne. -15th century castle at Pompadour (80 km): visit the terraces, stud farm and stallion station. -Remains of Couzages Castle in Chasteaux (60 km). -“Château de Sédières” (15th / 16th century castle) in Clergoux (30 km). -Ruins of Ventadour Castle in Moustier Ventadour (47 km). BY ROAD Paris (493 km) — Bordeaux (243 km) — Toulouse (217 km). • From Paris: A6 motorway towards Nantes /Bordeaux/Aéroport Orly/ Rungis/ Evry up to Wissous, then A10 to Etampes/ Orléans/ Palaiseau. Then take the A71 motorway exit no. 5 to Vierzon-Centre/ Châteauroux/ Limoges/ Issoudun. Then take the A20 to Châteauroux/ Limoges/ Blois/ Tours/ Issoudun. At Limoges, take exit no. 45 to Tulle/ Aurillac /Clermont-Ferrand /Vigeois/Seilhac, and follow the N120 to Tulle, then signs to Argentat (28 km). As you enter the village, at the roundabout, follow signs to Aurillac, cross the river, take the 1st exit to Argentat, turn left and then 1st left again. • From Toulouse: A62 motorway, exit no. 10 to Montauban/Limoges, then signs to Montauban, and the A20 link road towards Montauban/ Limoges/ Paris. Situated on the left bank of the Dordogne overlooking the river, this Residence enjoys an exceptional location opposite the magnificent old village of Argentat. The 3 one-floor buildings with stone-coloured façades stand in the heart of a beautiful garden. All apartments offer a view over the Dordogne. The architecture is broken up by tiered natural slate roofing, outside stairways, pergolas and wooden balustrades. Opening hours: - From Sunday to Friday: 9 am to noon and 5 pm to 8 pm. - Saturday: 8 am to noon and 2 pm to 10 pm. - Closed Wednesday. Note: Please inform the site about arrivals outside the reception’s opening days and times. FROM JULY 15 TO AUGUST 26: MINIMUM STAY OF ONE WEEK, ARRIVAL AND DEPARTURE ONLY ON SATURDAY. |

DEPOSIT A EUR 200 deposit per apartment must be paid on arrival (by cheque or credit card). It is refundable upon departure after inventory. The reception is open from 09:00 until 12:00 and 17:00 to 19:00 Sunday to Friday and from 08:00 to 12:00 and 14:00 to 20:00 on Saturdays. The reception is closed on Wednesdays in April and October. Please contact the residence if you plan to arrive outside the opening hours. |

Cancellation Policy: If cancelled up to 30 days before date of arrival, no fee will be charged. If cancelled up to 15 days before date of arrival, 25 percent of all nights will be charged. If cancelled up to 8 days before date of arrival, 50 percent of all nights will be charged. If cancelled up to 1 day before date of arrival, 75 percent of all nights will be charged. If cancelled later or in case of no-show, the total price of the reservation will be charged. Children and Extra Bed Policy: All children are welcome. One child under 2 years is charged EUR 15.00 per stay in a baby cot. Extra beds are not available. Maximum capacity of babycots in a room is 1. Deposit Policy: No deposit will be charged. VAT and city/tourist taxes: VAT is included. Service charge is included. EUR 0.65 city/tourist tax per person older than 12 years per night is not included. Internet: No internet access available. Meal Plan: This hotel has no meal services. Parking: Free Private parking is possible on site. Pets: Pets are allowed. Charges may be applicable.
