The area was named for pioneer settler and developer Phillip Rogers. On April 29, 1878, Rogers Park was incorporated as a village, and in 1893, annexed to Chicago. Since then it frequently has been referred to as East Rogers Park, and West Ridge, the next neighborhood west, was identified as West Rogers Park. Today visitors to Rogers Park often arrive via the areas main drag: Sheridan Road running north from Devon Avenue. The street passes under the CTA Loyola Red Line station, and continues north along the western edge of the Loyola University Chicago campus. The Loyola station, several other Red Line stations and access to CTA Express buses make Rogers Park an excellent place for commuters. Streets leading east from Sheridan Road all end at Lake Michigan. Pratt Avenue, four blocks north of the Loyola station, is just one. The one-block, tree-lined stretch dead ends at a beach with public tennis courts and a small park. Most of the buildings along the way are of 1920s vintage and have been converted into condominiums. |

Cancellation Policy: If cancelled up to 14 days before date of arrival, 50 percent of all nights will be charged. Deposit Policy: The total price of the reservation will be charged on the day of booking and is refundable. VAT and city/tourist taxes: Tax is included. 6 % service charge per stay is not included.
