By train: Arriving at Hauptbahnhof (Berlins main railway station), take the the S-Bahn (city rail) lines S5, S7, S9 or S75 going west in the Spandau direction, travel 3 stops and get off at Zoologischer Garten. Change to the U2 underground line, and get off at Wittenbergplatz. Pass the KaDeWe department store, turn left and then right. This brings you to Augsburger Straße, where you find the Alsterhof in front of you on the left-hand side. By plane: Arriving at Schönefeld airport, take the S-Bahn (city rail) S9 line to Zoologischer Garten, and follow the description above. From Tempelhof airport, take the X19 bus to Zoologischer Garten. From Tegel airport take the X9 or 109 bus to Zoologischer Garten. |
