Garmisch is an ideal destination to enjoy numerous Alpine ski slopes and cross-country skiing trails. The famous Kandahar descent is nearby, and plays host to the Alpine skiing world cup. Visitors to the area can also participate in winter sports and outdoor activities such as Nordic walking, kayaking, climbing, mountain biking and paragliding. You can enjoy ice skating and indoor curling at the Olympic Ice Stadium. A 9-hole golf course can be found 1.2 kilometres away from the hotel. An 18-hole golf course is located 8 kilometres away. Popular sights in Garmisch include the Zugspitze mountain, which is the highest peak in Germany. |

By train: Garmisch-Partenkirchen is on the railway line Munich-Innsbruck. Trains run in both directions hourly. Travel time Munich-Garmisch is 90 minutes, Innsbruck-Garmisch 75 minutes. By car: From Munich: approximately 80 kms Motorway A 95 in the direction of Garmisch-Partenkirchen. From end of motorway at Eschenlohe, follow B 2 (10 kms). After the tunnel, follow direction Partenkirchen, turn right at the 2nd traffic light. The hotel is located in 300 meters on the left. From Innsbruck: approximately 55 kms. Take the road via Seefeld and Mittenwald to Garmisch-Partenkirchen, turn left at the 5th traffic light. The hotel is located in 300 meters on the left.
