Surrounding the hotel you will find seven valleys, the Hillebachstausee Lake with a little beach and also one of the biggest and most beautiful high heathland areas in Germany. The Rothaarsteig, or “Weg der Sinne” (translated as the “Route of the Senses”), is a hiking trail which passes nearby the hotel and takes you down paths past numerous look-out points and geographical, cultural and historical highlights. In winter, there are cross-country ski tracks and three ski lifts for the ski-runs. The new “Bike Arena Sauerland” is very attractive to bikers. In the beautiful low mountain-range area there are 37 routes, covering 1,400 kilometres in total, which run around the areas of Winterberg, Schmallenberg, Hallenberg, Medebach, Brilon, Olsberg, Eslohe and Willingen. |
