The hotels facilities include a sauna area with Finnish sauna (90° C), Turkish steam bath (45° C), massage showers, warm-up bench with a Swarovski Crystal sky, workout room and solarium. Experience spring in Tirol, experience Tirol in full bloom. While the mountain tops are still covered with snow, the valleys are turning green and the meadows are filling with flowers. This is the best time of year for a short-break stay or a long weekend. Cyclists, bikers, and hikers alike will love our region and its soft mountain slopes. A marvellous hiking and mountain biking region in the Kitzbühel Alps is waiting to be explored by you from May to October. Some cozy mountain huts and a number of mountain railways are in operation until the end of October, depending on weather conditions. There is a wide range of easy bicycle tours, some without any climbs to speak of, leading along our rivers and brooks and through our romantic side-valleys. For mountain bikers, there are uncounted trails to alpine pastures and to almost every peak in the region. Local trains and some mountain railways also transport mountain bikes. Especially popular: routes crossing valleys on ancient sales routes and mountain passes. We offer in-house maps and advice. St. Johann is a disabled friendly city. By car: From munich (135km) towards salzburg on the A8 motorway: - Take the A12 motorway before Rosenheim. - Take exit Kufstein-Süd (no road toll). - Stay on B173 federal road, pass Eiberg. From innsbruck (90km): - Take the A12 motorway, exit wöRgl-Ost, and take federal road B178. - Enter the tunnel in St. Johann (do not drive into the centre), turn right 400 metres after the tunnel. - Follow the One-Way road until you arrive at the Gruber Hotel. Look out for our hotel´s signpost; there is one on the federal road. By train: St. Johann in Tirol train station (main route: Vienna-Zurich): From Innsbruck main station: approximately 80 minutes. From Munich: approximately 2.5 hours. From Vienna: approximately 5-6 hours. The new train station in St. Johann boasts modern platforms with lifts and a permanent taxi rank. By airplane: Innsbruck airport: 100 km. Munich airport (Franz-Josef-Strauß): 160 km. Salzburg airport: 80 km. Continue travelling to St. Johann in Tirol by train or bus. Inexpensive airport shuttles or rental cars from Innsbruck, Salzburg, and Munich. |
