A hotel with tradition The historical residence is located on the periphery. It takes only 8 minutes by car or taxi and 10 minutes by bus (bus stop directly in front of the hotel) to the city center of Salzburg. Austrias oldest family-run hotel Existing since 1334 the hotel was formerly the tavern of the Benedictine monastery Nonnberg. Since 1583 it is owned by family Gmachl in the 23rd generation. Today the Hotel Gmachl is a 4-star-hotel that offers charming rooms and a cosy restaurant that still has the characteristic ambience of the old tavern. |

A highlight of you stay is a visit to the awarded restaurant that offers regional specialties that mainly come from our own butchery. The Hotel bar and the fire place invite to finalize a tasteful evening. Our gourmet kitchen spoils you on 365 days a year from 12 to 2 pm and 6 to 10 pm and during the Salzburg festival from 11 am to 12 pm with selected specialties. |

Cancellation Policy: If cancelled up to 7 days before date of arrival, no fee will be charged. If cancelled later or in case of no-show, the total price of the reservation will be charged.
