The hotel was constructed from 1954 to 1962 and was designed by the creative flair of the architect Edoardo Gellner, one of the fathers of modern Italian architecture. Over recent years the complex has undergone extensive renovation in accordance with the original plans, maintaining the singularly characteristic aspects initially applied by architect Gellner. | |

In the resorts area you can visit the church of Nostra Signore di Cadore, designed by the architect Edoardo Gellner and the famous architect Carlo Scarpa; it is the first church in which the altar rises versus populum. The house of the famous painter Tiziano is 15 km from the resort in the village of Pieve di Cadore. The murals of Cibiana are 10 minutes by car from the resort. Here the history of the area was painted on the walls by famous Italian and international painters. |
