Set in a 19th century building on the banks of river Dora Baltea, the hotel is located on a former hydrotherapy centre. Its wellness facility comprises ancient techniques and modern technology. Hotel Tavernier is named after Jean Baptiste Tavernier, the 16th century French traveller and pioneer in trade who also discovered the 1st thermal springs in Courmayeur. The main feature of the hotel’s wellness centre is a small pool set in a cave, with waterfalls and hydro massage. The hotel is furnished in a typical Valle dAosta style and is also close to the new cable car in Courmayeur. The restaurant, open every day, offers a selection of traditional regional cuisine and international dishes. Enjoy the classics of mountain life, reading a book, listening to music or playing cards by the fireplace in the restaurant or bar. |
