Built in 1899 by the architect Emilio Salas y Cortés, whose most famous pupil was Antoni Gaudí, the building of the Catalonia Duques de Bergara is exemplary of Art Nouveau architecture. The most significant original features from its period have been restored and preserved, including the façade with its wide windows, and its interiors, like the marble staircase leading to the first floor, where you find magnificent Cuban mahogany doors, painted ceilings and a dome. The hotel offers complete facilities including a swimming pool, located in a pleasant patio, typical of the Ensanche area in Barcelona, and 7 conference rooms fully equipped for any kind of event. |

Renovated to be used as a hotel in 1988, and expanded a few years later, Catalonia Duques de Bergara has 148 light rooms, with parquet floors and contemporary wooden furniture. Some of the rooms have a balcony. |
