Allariz (town centre - 100 metres) : An intact medieval village where you will also find the Baños de Molgas resort with natural hot springs here. An area of extraordinary landscapes and beauty. Ourense (20 km): A real gem of a city. You can cross its Roman bridge, constructed in the days of the Emperor Trajano, or contemplate from the viewpoints the Millennium bridge and the extraordinary view of the Miño river. Ribeira Sacra (25 km): Marked by the abundance of monasteries (most concentrated in Galicia) and gorgeous landscapes, the Ribeira Sacra offers one of the most spectacular tourist routes of the province. There are also many old historical monuments ranging from Celtic times through to the middle ages. Verin and Monterrei (35 km): A land of springs and military power, (the castle of Monterrei was a stronghold in the defence against Portugal in 17th century) and in addition has the greatest amount of springs in Galicia. |

By Plane: Peinador Airport (Vigo): an hours drive away (118 km). By Taxi the approximate cost is EUR 90 to Ourense. By Public Transport: Allariz bus station, on C/Emilia Pardo Bazan (200m), from there you can walk – take C/Hospital until the town hall and then take C/Vilanova. Train Station: Ourense (20 Kms). By Car: -Take the A-52 road (towards Madrid-Benavente) and take exit 210 signposted Allariz. -Then take the national road towards Allariz-Madrid until Allariz. -Once in the city, take the second left, signposted Piscinas Municipales, Puente Románica do Arnado, Parking. |
