La Hoya de Guadix is situated in one of the most beautiful places in the region, nestled between four villages, Guadix, Benalúa, Purullena and El Bejarín. The caves themselves are surrounded by large fields, plantations and peach trees. For day trips and excursions the attractions of the city of Granada are just 60 km away. The hotel’s own Arabic baths offer convenient total relaxation. Arabic bath sessions can be reserved at reception and are available at an additional cost. Sessions last one hour and 30 minutes, including an optional 15-minute massage. At the entrance of the Arabic baths, you will be given a towel, and you can decide if you would like a massage as well. Once inside, you will find a hot water pool and a cold pool. The atmosphere is quiet, relaxed, and complemented by the decoration of the baths’ various different rooms. Relax and enjoy a restful, restorative session in the baths while listening to the sounds of the sweetest Arabic music, the sound of the water and enjoying the flavour of great quality tea. |

Each corner of this region, from the Moorish towns of Marquesado, to the troglodytes districts and the centre of the region are great for a multitude of activities, such as walking, culture and enjoying the rich traditional gastronomy. The strategic position of the Guadix region means it is easy to visit other areas near by. The beaches of Almeria and the nature reserve Sierra de Gata – Nijar just 120 km away and you can access them by car, bus or by train. The city of Granada is just 60 km away. 30 km further you will find the ski resort Sierra Nevada, one of the most important in Spain. |

By Car: -Take the A-92 and exit at junction 288 signposted Purullena/Cortes y Graena/Beas de Guadix and then head towards Purullena. -Enter Purullena and after approximately 800 metres you will see a signpost to your left indicating the turn off for El Bejarin. -Turn left here and when you have entered El Bejarin you will see a signpost for the caves. |
